Dr. Andrew Howard

Dr. Howard brings years of valuable experience to our team, with a particular focus on small animal medicine and surgery. His skills and caring approach greatly enhance the quality of care we provide.

He has worked in and around Armadale and Mundijong for the last 15 years, and looks forward to being reintroduced to new and existing Pets (and their Humans).

He has an extensive menagerie of pets of all types, and is keen to make your pet’s visit as pleasant and stress free as possible.

Dr Rena MacFarlane

Following her graduation in 2005, Rena completed a Preceptorship in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at Murdoch Pet Emergency Centre, prior to working in country mixed animal practice.

Rena has a keen interest in small animal medicine and surgery, and in particular exotic animals, and completed Membership examinations in Medicine and Surgery of Unusual Pets through the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2011 and Avian Health (Caged and Aviary Birds) in 2018 and has participated as both Assistant and Head Subject Examiner for the College since attaining qualification.

Rena has worked in private practice since 2006 as a small animal clinician, focused mainly on Unusual and Exotic animals, as well as having an interest in small farm health and general surgery.  Outside if the Veterinary profession, Rena is an avid participant in horse sports and is attaining further Coaching qualifications through Equestrian Australia and enjoys farm life with her family and their cows, goats, horses, pigs, poultry, dogs, cats, parrots and rabbits.

Sarah

As our Practice Manager and Registered Veterinary Nurse, Sarah brings valuable experience in the field of veterinary nursing to the Mundijong Team. Originally from the UK, Sarah moved to Australia with the dream of working with animals, pursuing her veterinary nurse qualifications in general practice before stepping into further training in exotic animals and emergency nursing. Sarah is an avid equestrian and Mundijong local and hopes to provide the very best of care and service to the local community.

Taryn

As a veterinary nurse, Taryn is deeply committed to prioritising fear-free experiences and empowering client education.

With a dedication to providing compassionate care, Taryn strives to create a supportive environment where pets and their owners feel valued and well-informed. Taryn’s passion for enhancing animal well-being drives her to continually seek innovative approaches and promote the importance of the human-animal bond.
